About the project...
In early 2009, we were approached to discuss a new website for PreciousLittleOne. The online baby produce retailer are one of the biggest in the UK and at the time of our meeting, had been using an off-the-shelf ecommerce package.
Due to the size of their operation and the lack of flexibility with their current 3rd-party solution, they desperately needed something more fitting to not only enhance their online presence, but also assist behind the scenes with the store's day-to-day operations.
Working with local design company, Design:fx, a fresh new design was approved and work began on the website.
Aside from a highly evolved front end to the website, incorporating many exciting modern features expected of a large online retailer, the bespoke admin section behind the scenes had to cater for a range of users at all levels of PC literacy and allow their staff to quickly and easily access all the features that drove the front end of the website.
This was an excellent project to have the opportunity to work on. It has been tremendously rewarding to see PreciousLittleOne go from strength to strength and knowing that the new website has helped contribute in no small part to the growth of their business. Late in 2011, PreciousLittleOne obtained the number 1 ranking in the category "Baby" on the independent rating site TrustPilot. Its always nice to read comments left by their customers, who often mention the website and how easy it is to use.
